With the closing of Soul at Joes, in September 2011, we were left with three months remaing till the end of the year,
and with the bookings of the DJs to fulfill; we had to find a venue for the interim for the remaining months of the year; and now we've got that interim out of the way, and all the DJs have played their sets

I'd like to thank, all the soulies who came along to the last three soul nights of the year which were held at the Birchfield club in Widnes, also Ronnie the Steward who accomodated us on such a short notice,
Chris Penn for letting me borrow the Birchfield Banner! the regular DJs who always play the classic
old soul tracks, and the guest DJs: who came and played their interpretation of our loved music .
Thanks to every one for the year 2011 it will be one to remember.

We can now after ten great years, finally draw a line under Soul at Joes.

So now we can move to the new venue the Sidac Social Club.
We know we'll have teething problems, with different building (accoustics, ) different bar staff
yet we will mainly be using the same roster of resident DJs: so the music will be much the same,
classic oldies that we can dance to, also our guest Djs; who'll keep it up to date.

Last year we had some new DJs; First was

Tony Munday from Orrell, Tony and his wife Ann have been on the scene for some time and go to most venues around the North West. Tony is also a regular spinner at the Orrell soul club which is noted for rarer sounds.

We also had Paul Rockey from Llandudno, and he played some new tunes, which I believe are big on the all nighter scene he's guesting with another welsh DJ Gerry H. who's played at Joes before.

Steve from the A57 scooter club was guesting on May 6th steve plays at the Deane's House pub, which is the base for the A57 scooter club. and a load of their members came along to support Stevie and it was a great night.

Paul & Jeff played at the culchet club and the A1 club Warrington.they to had a great night when they played at Joes so they are also back in 2012

Wayne Hill who has Dj'd at the Kestral Suite in Burnley with Ginger Taylor and The Saints Club ST. Helens with Baz Maleedy, is back again after a brilliant spot, last year

This year we are adding another new DJ to play at the St.Helens Soul Club, Pete Gog he'll be piggy backing with John Griff aka Biff.

I'd like to thank all the regular DJs Sue, Freddy T. & Moz for keeping the music
policy mainly classic tracks and golden oldies as this seems to keep the dance-floor full they also play the new tracks as when they break through on the scene:

This is apparent with the members cds which the members receive every year .
 The first couple of years the cds where standard classic old northen tunes, from Twisted Wheel, the Torch and early Wigan Stompers, yet over the last few years they are more rarer tunes from stafford days and the all dayers and recently more r&b-ish in sound;

Which goes to shows even though Joes was know as a oldies night, you were still gonna here some rare Northern tunes and r&b tunes, all the DJs do a good job and don't worry if your favourite DJ has been left out in 2012 they'll be back in 2113 through the rotation system.
Keep the Faith Chisser.
